About the Role

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer (Network) for a global leader in handheld network test instruments and cloud-based network monitoring solutions. In this role, you will be a primary architect of both manual and automated test strategies that ensure the absolute reliability of industry-leading hardware and cloud ecosystems. You won't just be finding bugs; you will be acting as a customer advocate for the field network engineers who rely on these tools daily to troubleshoot critical wired and Wi-Fi infrastructure.

This is the ideal position for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of embedded Android hardware, cloud applications, and deep packet analysis. You will operate in a dedicated network test lab environment, designing edge-case scenarios to push core networking protocols, Wi-Fi standards (up to Wi-Fi 7), and continuous integration pipelines to their limits.

Most Important

  • 4+ years of professional experience in software QA, including comprehensive test case design, manual verification, and defect management across the full development lifecycle.
  • Strong hands-on experience authoring and maintaining automated regression suites using Python or Bash.
  • Solid familiarity with mobile test automation frameworks tailored for Android-based devices (e.g., Appium, Espresso, or similar).
  • Practical understanding of core wired and wireless network protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, ARP, ICMP, and VLANs.
  • Experience utilizing defect tracking and test management tooling (Jira, TestRail) alongside modern CI/CD pipelines to integrate test suites into build workflows.
  • Ability to overlap 4–6 core business hours across the US Mountain Time Zone (MST) to collaborate effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with modern IEEE 802.11 wireless standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be / Wi-Fi 7) and enterprise security protocols (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X).
  • Hands-on experience capturing and interpreting packet captures via Wireshark (or similar tools) for precise defect diagnosis.
  • Direct experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting physical network test lab environments (routers, switches, access points, and VPNs).
  • Active networking or wireless credentials such as CCNA, CCNP, or CWNA.
  • Exposure to performance, stress, and load testing concepts for network devices and cloud applications.

Includes 4 screening questions.
