Position Overview

The company is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Engineering team in Barcelona, Spain. This is a permanent hybrid position reporting to the Head of Engineering.

The successful candidate will help design, build, and optimize backend services that power a large-scale e-commerce platform, contributing to performance, reliability, scalability, and feature development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Go.
• Analyze technical challenges and build scalable solutions that improve platform capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance and engineering teams to deliver reliable software releases.
• Continuously improve and refactor existing code to enhance maintainability and long-term performance.
• Optimize system performance, stability, and user experience through ongoing enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of professional experience developing applications with Golang.
• Strong understanding of backend development principles and software design.
• Experience designing and building secure, high-performance APIs.
• Solid database design and data modeling expertise.
• Familiarity with large-scale e-commerce environments and related best practices.
• Experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, and S3.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PHP development.
• Familiarity with the Symfony framework.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale commerce platforms and distributed systems.
