We are looking for experienced Web Developers who can use AI-assisted and agentic delivery methods to build high-quality digital products in a fast-paced project environment.

You will work with modern web technologies, including React, Node.js, SSR, GraphQL/Apollo, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and secure development practices. You should be comfortable building applications from the ground up, integrating AI tools into your workflow, and helping deliver work to defined engineering standards.

A key part of this role is the ability to map MCP tools, define clear tool contracts, and build and/or use agent families to support delivery. You should understand how agents interact with APIs, execute workflows, handle failures, and produce measurable, testable outputs.

What You’ll Do

  • Build performant, scalable web applications using React and Node.js.
  • Develop and integrate REST, GraphQL, and MCP-compatible APIs.
  • Support agentic workflows using tools, skills, prompts, and orchestration patterns.
  • Define clear input/output contracts using TypeScript interfaces or JSON Schema.
  • Build evaluation pipelines for AI and agent outputs, including regression tests and golden datasets.
  • Apply secure development practices, including OAuth2/OIDC, API key management, and audit trails.
  • Instrument systems with logs, metrics, traces, and measurable SLOs.
  • Collaborate with the team in the Toronto office two days per week.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience with modern web development, especially React and Node.js.
  • Experience with SSR applications, GraphQL, Apollo, APIs, AWS, Docker, or similar tooling.
  • Familiarity with MCP-compatible integrations and tool interface documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM tool calling, structured outputs, prompt engineering, and evaluation methods.
  • Experience building agentic workflows, multi-step tool chains, state-machine agents, or orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, or custom systems.
  • Strong communication, initiative, and judgment — including knowing when to solve independently and when to ask for help.

Nice to Have

  • Track record of driving AI tool adoption within an engineering organization.
  • Familiarity with LangSmith, OpenTelemetry, prompt caching, semantic routing, or structured LLM tracing.

Candidates must meet the required device and security-tooling standards for the project environment.

Location

This role is open to candidates located in Canada or South America. Candidates based in Toronto or the GTA are expected to collaborate on-site with the team twice per week. Candidates outside the GTA may work fully remotely but should be comfortable collaborating within North American business hours.

Contract Details

This is a 5-month contract role with a strong likelihood of extension depending on performance and project needs.
