About the Opportunity

Our hiring partner is building a modern enterprise platform focused on transforming how organizations operate and scale learning initiatives. As the product evolves, the engineering team is investing heavily in AI-native development practices and intelligent product capabilities that increase both delivery speed and product sophistication.

They are seeking a Senior / Lead Agentic Developer — a highly effective engineer who has deeply integrated AI tooling into their daily workflow and can operate with exceptional autonomy and velocity.

This role is designed for someone who already works differently from traditional software engineers: leveraging AI agents, coding copilots, automation workflows, and iterative prompting as core parts of how they design, build, test, and ship software.

Beyond individual contribution, this person will help influence how modern software development practices evolve across the broader engineering organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

Build and Deliver

• Develop and maintain scalable, production-grade applications and platform capabilities
• Own projects end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring
• Use AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to translate ambiguous requirements into practical solutions
• Contribute clean, maintainable, and extensible code aligned with broader platform architecture

Drive Engineering Effectiveness

• Demonstrate advanced AI-native development practices through day-to-day execution
• Share workflows, tooling approaches, and practical lessons learned with the engineering team
• Help establish standards and guardrails around AI-assisted software development
• Improve engineering velocity while maintaining strong quality and reliability standards
• Support a culture of experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement

Collaborate Across Functions

• Partner with senior engineering and data leaders on technical strategy and implementation
• Contribute to system design discussions, architectural decisions, and technical tradeoff analysis
• Surface risks proactively and help identify practical paths forward
• Participate in technical mentorship, code reviews, and engineering process improvements

What They’re Looking For

• Strong experience as a senior-level software engineer in modern SaaS environments
• Demonstrated ability to ship high-quality software with speed and ownership
• Deep familiarity with AI coding tools and assistants such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot,
• GPT-based workflows, or similar technologies
• Experience integrating AI-assisted workflows into real software development processes
• Strong backend and systems fundamentals, including APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, observability, and performance optimization
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production operations
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output and apply sound engineering judgment
• Strong communication skills, especially in async and distributed team environments
• Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities

Within the first year, you will have helped accelerate engineering output while contributing meaningful improvements to the company’s platform and development practices.

You’ll be recognized as a high-leverage technical contributor who combines strong engineering fundamentals with modern AI-native workflows. Other engineers will begin adopting and adapting many of the practices you introduce, helping elevate the overall effectiveness of the organization.

You’ll also help shape how the engineering team approaches AI-assisted software development in a practical, sustainable, and production-focused way.
