Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer (Accounting Domain)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer with strong backend expertise and exposure to accounting and financial systems. This role involves building and maintaining scalable applications, with a focus on handling financial data, integrating with accounting platforms, and supporting complex tax and ledger logic across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Build and optimize SQL-based data models for high-volume financial data processing
• Develop and maintain integrations with external accounting and financial platforms
• Implement and manage general ledger logic, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
• Handle multi-country tax logic, including calculations and compliance considerations
• Support financial reporting workflows and data pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, finance, data) to deliver scalable solutions
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of financial systems

Mandatory Requirements

• Strong experience with Ruby
• Proven expertise in Ruby on Rails
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade backend systems
• Exposure to the accounting domain, including: General ledger concepts - Tax logic and calculations - Financial system integrations - Multi-country tax handling
