About the Role

We are looking for a Loan Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between mortgage operations and technology. In this role, you will support and optimize the Encompass Loan Origination System — gathering business requirements, analyzing workflows, and translating operational needs into system configurations, automation, and reporting solutions.

You will partner closely with Operations, Underwriting, Processing, Compliance, and Secondary teams to drive meaningful process improvements and keep the system running at its best. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for someone who speaks both mortgage and technology fluently.

Most Important

• 3 to 5 years of mortgage industry experience in processing, underwriting, closing, or Loan Origination System support
• Strong understanding of the full mortgage lifecycle from origination through funding
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into system solutions
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the mortgage space
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience configuring Encompass business rules, custom fields, input forms, milestones, personas, and workflows
• Knowledge of reporting tools for data analysis and business insights
• Experience with Agile methodologies or project management tools
• Prior involvement in third-party integrations such as Automated Underwriting Systems, credit vendors, compliance engines, or document providers
