About this role

  • You will own end-to-end product engineering for an AI-powered legal technology platform. That means building thoughtful user experiences, wiring them to reliable backend services, and shaping how AI systems surface insight from millions of complex documents.
  • This is a hands-on IC role for someone who can take a loosely defined problem, design a clean solution, and ship it with good taste. You should be comfortable working across the stack and owning real product surfaces.

Key responsibilities

  • Own full-stack features from problem definition through technical design, implementation, and release
  • Build clean, intuitive frontend experiences (React / Next.js or similar) with strong product judgment
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs (Python / FastAPI) that support core product workflows
  • Model data and integrate AI/ML capabilities into user-facing features
  • Work with AWS infrastructure (ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB); optimize pragmatically, not prematurely
  • Collaborate closely with founders and domain experts; keep scope tight and quality high
  • Write maintainable, well-tested code and uphold a high bar for clarity and simplicity

Qualifications

  • A true IC who enjoys owning projects end-to-end
  • Strong frontend skills and good product taste — you care deeply about UX and polish
  • Solid backend fundamentals; comfortable building APIs and data flows
  • High agency: you see gaps, propose solutions, and execute without heavy direction
  • Interest in complex domains and learning fast (AI, patents, technical inventions)
