Senior Software Engineer - AI Infrastructure & Product (Full Stack) About the Role

Boardy.ai is building AI that helps people discover who they should meet next — and why.
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build the core systems behind product experiences, data workflows, and AI-powered recommendations.
You’ll work directly with the founders and product team to design, build, and scale a product at the intersection of AI, graph data, and real-world human relationships.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to move fast, ship often, and help shape both the technical architecture and the future of the company.

What You’ll Do

Design and build end-to-end product features across backend, frontend, and AI workflows.
Architect scalable systems that support real-time interactions, growing datasets, and a fast-evolving product.
Build and improve integrations with LLMs, vector databases, APIs, and internal recommendation systems.
Make key technical decisions around infrastructure, performance, reliability, and security.
Collaborate closely with founders, product, and design to turn ideas into shipped features quickly.
Improve developer velocity through better tooling, testing, deployment, and observability.
Mentor other engineers and help establish strong engineering practices as the team grows.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in startups or high-growth environments.
Strong backend experience with technologies such as Node.js, Python, Go, or similar.
Experience building production systems on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
Strong understanding of databases, APIs, distributed systems, and system design.
Ability to own projects from idea to production with minimal oversight.
Strong product instincts and the ability to balance speed with quality.
Excellent communication skills and a strong bias toward action.

Nice to Have

Experience with AI products, LLMs, embeddings, vector search, or recommendation systems.
Experience with graph databases, knowledge graphs, or social network products.
Experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
Previous experience at an early-stage startup.
Experience building internal tools, workflow automation, or data pipelines.
Familiarity with ranking algorithms, search, or marketplace-style products.
