About the Company

Our hiring partner is focused on improving access to mental healthcare for older adults through a telehealth platform. The organization builds digital tools that provide evidence-based emotional support, helping make care more accessible, affordable, and user-friendly for a vulnerable population.

Role Overview

The company is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join its engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building clean, responsive web applications and wants to contribute to meaningful, user-focused products in the healthcare space.

You will work across the stack—primarily Go on the backend and vanilla JavaScript on the frontend—helping deliver features from concept through production. This is a remote role open to candidates based in LATAM.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and maintain full stack features using Go (backend) and vanilla JavaScript (frontend)
  • Develop responsive, mobile-first web interfaces using modern HTML, CSS, and ES6+ standards
  • Build and maintain scalable APIs and data models using Go and PostgreSQL
  • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate ideas into working features
  • Improve system performance, including optimizing SQL queries and backend services
  • Participate in code reviews and help uphold engineering best practices
  • Contribute to improving development workflows, tooling, and testing practices
  • Work across multiple priorities while meeting delivery timelines
  • Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA and operations

Location & Work Setup

  • Fully remote (LATAM-based candidates only)
  • Occasional collaboration across distributed teams as needed

Employment Type

  • Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of software development experience with a strong desire to continue learning
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining production backend systems
  • Strong experience with Go and SQL
  • Solid frontend experience building applications from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Understanding of mobile-first design principles (Flexbox, Grid, CSS variables, etc.)
  • Familiarity with integrating REST APIs
  • Experience using Git/GitHub in collaborative environments
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Product mindset—interested in why features are built, not just how
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Exposure to Figma or other design tools is a plus
  • Interest in leveraging AI tools (e.g., LLMs) to improve development workflows is an asset

Benefits & Why Join

  • Opportunity to work on products that directly support mental health care access
  • Collaborative, mission-driven engineering environment
  • Health-related benefits package (may include dental, extended health, vision, and life insurance depending on engagement terms)
  • Paid time off and flexible working arrangements
  • Remote-first structure with distributed team collaboration

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: CAD $50,000 – $75,000 (or local equivalent for LATAM remote contractors, where applicable)
