About the Role

This is a Platform Engineering role focused on the engine that powers a portfolio of Next.js sites — not on building the sites themselves. You will own the infrastructure layer that sits between the framework and the cloud, designing build adapters, optimizing deployment pipelines, and offloading static assets to scalable storage and CDN solutions.

This job is open for candidates from Latin America.

Most Important

  • Deep knowledge of Next.js internals: App Router, Server Components, and the build process — you should be able to design and build a custom Build Adapter
  • Hands-on GCP platform engineering experience: Cloud Run, Cloud Build, and serving static assets from Google Cloud Storage / CDN
  • Production-level observability implementation using OpenTelemetry or Stackdriver across distributed environments
  • Strong Node.js fundamentals underpinning the Next.js runtime
  • Proven technical leadership: ability to drive architectural decisions, refine backlogs, and instill sprint discipline in a growing team
  • Experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines end to end

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Pantheon or similar web operations platforms
  • Familiarity with edge computing and CDN configuration strategies
  • Background in building internal developer platforms or PaaS tooling
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
  • Prior work with monorepo build systems or multi-site deployments

Includes 2 screening questions.
