The Engineering Function

The engineering group is intentionally small and highly impactful. There is no separate product or design function, so engineers collaborate closely with founders and operational leaders to define problems, shape solutions, and deliver software end-to-end.

The Role

The company is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer with a strong product mindset who can take full ownership of systems and features. This is not a ticket-driven role—you’ll be directly involved in shaping what gets built and how.

You’ll partner closely with internal teams to identify workflow challenges, design practical solutions, and ship reliable software at speed. The role is especially important as internal platforms mature and groundwork is laid for a future external SaaS offering.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Building and maintaining full-stack web applications used by internal stakeholders and external partners
• Owning features from early concept through deployment, including product decisions and technical architecture
• Working directly with founders, operations, and recruiting teams to turn business needs into scalable software
• Writing clean, production-ready TypeScript across both frontend and backend systems
• Developing and supporting data-heavy workflows related to recruiting, operations, and finance
• Improving performance, reliability, and developer tooling as the platform grows

Required Experience and Skills

• Solid full-stack development experience using TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB in production environments
• Experience working with Redis or Valkey
• A track record of writing maintainable, high-quality code
• Strong product judgment and the ability to make sound tradeoffs independently
• Comfort working without dedicated product management or design support
• Ability to thrive in an early-stage, fast-moving setting

Compensation:

• Canada: $160,000 to $200,000 CAD base salary
• Remote: $100,000 to $120,000 CAD base salary
