Location: Vancouver, BC (Office: Broadway & Granville) | 5 days in-office

Salary: $80K–$120K CAD. Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and the value the candidate brings to the role. 

Our hiring partner is a seed-stage healthcare technology company building assistive technology for the entire healthcare ecosystem—from hospitals to crisis lines. Their flagship product is an enterprise AI web browser that automates workflows for doctors, helping them focus more on patient care.

The company is looking for an Intermediate Full-Stack Engineer who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow. You’ll contribute to building and maintaining core features of the platform while working closely with senior engineers and leadership in a fast-moving startup environment.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain web applications using React (TypeScript) and backend services using Python and Node.js
• Implement features end-to-end based on clear ticket requirements, user needs, and success criteria
• Write clean, well-documented code with strong test coverage, ensuring all tests pass before deployment
• Participate actively in code reviews, both receiving and providing thoughtful feedback
• Build user interfaces in React with a solid understanding of component structure and architectural intent
• Help design and maintain database schemas that support product requirements
• Use AWS services (including Lambda) effectively and cost-consciously, with guidance from senior engineers
• Learn to identify potential risks in testing, performance, or deployment and raise them early
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and delivery quality
• Provide regular progress updates to Engineering and Operations, and ask thoughtful questions when requirements are unclear
• Navigate and contribute confidently to the codebase, understanding where functions, pages, assets, and cloud resources live

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience (flexible for strong candidates)
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (React) and Python
• Experience building APIs and working with databases in production environments
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based application development
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work effectively with documentation
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Comfortable working in a seed-stage, in-person environment
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare or MedTech
• Exposure to DevOps, monitoring, or production support
