Position Overview

As a Senior Mobile Developer (iOS), you will play a key role in shaping the future of the company’s mobile applications and frameworks. From advancing App Clip–based experiences to delivering high-performance native applications, you’ll solve complex technical challenges and build scalable, resilient solutions that support merchants at scale.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys pushing the boundaries of iOS development, thrives in fast-moving environments, and wants to have a meaningful impact on the evolution of mobile commerce.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced iOS App Clip applications using Swift
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
• Ensure application performance, reliability, and responsiveness across devices
• Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, and implement effective optimizations
• Lead integrations with third-party APIs, with a strong focus on the Shopify ecosystem
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices
• Stay current with mobile technology trends and validate solutions through hands-on device testing

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Strong experience building, shipping, and maintaining iOS applications and Apple App Clips in production using Swift
• Deep understanding of App Clip constraints, invocation methods, and App Clip–specific architectural patterns, with a strong focus on performance, accessibility, scalability, and quality
• Experience designing, versioning, and maintaining reusable XCFrameworks, ensuring binary compatibility and multi-architecture support across multiple projects via Swift Package Manager
• Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development tasks such as feature scaffolding, refactoring, testing, and debugging while maintaining high code quality
• Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem and experience integrating with Shopify APIs
• Advanced knowledge of cloud messaging APIs and push notification systems
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines for iOS using Fastlane and Xcode
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in an agile environment

Desirable Skills

• Proven experience deploying and managing applications in the App Store
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and unit testing
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and platform-specific interface guidelines
